What time are services?

Marietta First Christian Church has many services designed to fit your specific beliefs and needs.  Traditional Sunday School is held at 9:45 am and Sunday Worship is at 11:00.  We encourage you to explore our other service options as well.  All are welcome at any of the services.

How long does the worship service last?

Traditional Sunday worship typically lasts until 12:30.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes.  Expect to see others in jeans and nice casual clothing.

What kind of music will I hear?

We at Marietta First Christian Church believe in having a variety of music.  Our Praise Band, Soulfire, will lift your spirits with their contemporary music.  Choir songs include many old favorites as well as newer material.  Congregational and Choir singing is accompanied by piano and/or organ music; Soulfire includes electric drums, acoustic and bass guitars.  We've even been known to include bagpipes during the service.

How is communion handled?

Communion is given every Sunday typically with everyone being served in their seats.  Some Sundays Communion is given by intinction where participants are invited to come up front, break off some bread and dip it in grape juice.  Everyone, regardless of their church membership, is invited but not required to take communion.

Is your worship service accessible for physically disabled persons?

Yes, our building includes ramps to get inside and an elevator.  In addition, the restrooms are also accessible for physically disabled persons. 

What is the format for Sunday School?

Sunday school begins at 9:45 am and is divided into multiple classes:

The classes use age appropriate material to explore faith.  Anyone is invited to attend.

Do you have a nursery?

Marietta First Christian Church does have a nursery for children ages newborn through 3 years of age.
